Sell Your Rolex.
Priced by Reference.
Paid by Wire.
Send photos of your Rolex and get a no-obligation offer from a buyer who reads it the way the market does — reference, dial, bracelet, condition, and papers. We buy outright, so there's no listing, no commission, and no waiting for someone else to say yes.
Every Rolex submission is evaluated by Xenon, Lead Appraiser at Le Watch Buyers — New York, NY. We buy from private owners, collectors, and estates in all 50 states.
Get an Offer for Your Rolex
Send the model, condition, and a few photos. We usually respond the same day. Your final offer follows inspection and authentication.
How to Sell Your Rolex in Three Steps
From your first photo to a bank wire, here is exactly what happens when you sell your Rolex to Le Watch Buyers.
Send Details and Photos
Use the form with the model, condition, and clear photos. If you can read the reference number, include it — our reference number guide shows where to find it. Box, papers, and service records help, but none of them is required.
Get an Initial Offer, Explained
Xenon reviews your Rolex at the reference level and prices it against today's secondary market. We tell you what helped the number and what held it back. We usually respond with an offer the same day, and there is never an obligation to accept. The initial offer is subject to inspection and authentication.
Ship by FedEx or Meet in New York
Once you accept, we send a prepaid, tracked, insured FedEx overnight label, or you can arrange an in-person appointment in the New York metro area. After your Rolex is inspected and authenticated and you accept the final offer, we send your bank wire the same day.
Who Buys Your Rolex
Le Watch Buyers is an independent Rolex buyer based in New York City. We buy Rolex watches outright from the people who own them — private sellers, collectors, and families settling an estate. We do not currently retail watches, we are not a Rolex authorized dealer, and we are not affiliated with Rolex SA.
Every Rolex that comes through this page is evaluated by Xenon, our lead appraiser, together with the same appraisal team behind our Watch Education Hub and its Rolex guides. That matters because Rolex value lives in the details: two watches sold under the same model name can be different references, different generations, and very different numbers.
Because we're the buyer rather than a broker, the final offer you accept is the amount we pay. There's no consignment period, no seller's commission, and no reserve to miss. After inspection and authentication, you can accept the final offer or decline.
We buy nationwide. Sellers anywhere in the United States ship by prepaid, insured FedEx, and sellers in the New York metro area can arrange to meet in person instead. More about Le Watch Buyers →

The Reference-First Rolex Read
Online calculators price a model name. We price the watch in front of us. Every Rolex submission is read in the same order, starting with the reference, because each factor below only makes sense once the one before it is settled.
| Step | What we check | Why it moves the number |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Reference and generation | The reference number between the lugs or on the papers, and which generation of that reference the watch belongs to. | A 116610LN and a 126610LN are both Submariner Dates, but they differ in case size and movement and trade at different levels. The reference sets the range everything else moves within. See how to read a Rolex reference number. |
| 2. Dial and configuration | Dial color and variant, bezel insert, bracelet type (Oyster, Jubilee, President), and any factory gem-setting. | Within one reference, configuration can separate two watches by more than condition ever will. On vintage sports models, a single dial detail can change the category the watch trades in. |
| 3. Originality | Whether the dial, hands, bezel insert, and bracelet are original to the watch, and whether anything is aftermarket. | Service replacement parts and aftermarket diamonds usually reduce value against an untouched example. On vintage pieces, lume that matches between dial and hands matters. |
| 4. Case and bracelet condition | Lug geometry, polishing, dents, crystal, bracelet stretch, and clasp wear. | Honest wear on an unpolished case is often worth more than a heavily polished one. Polishing removes metal and can't be undone. |
| 5. Box and papers | The warranty card or certificate, whether its serial matches the watch, the date of sale, and the original box, booklets, and tags. | A complete set usually improves the offer, most on modern steel sports references. Missing papers lower the number but never disqualify the watch. |
| 6. Service history | Rolex service paperwork, retailer receipts, and any original parts returned after a service. | Documented service supports the movement's condition. Original parts returned after service can recover value on vintage references. |
| 7. Today's market | Live secondary-market data from analytics sources such as WatchCharts and open marketplaces such as Chrono24, plus auction results for vintage references. | Rolex prices move reference by reference, so your offer reflects how your reference is trading now, not six months ago. |
A note on serial numbers: a Rolex serial can help date a watch produced before Rolex moved to randomized serials around 2010, and it's one of several authentication checks. It doesn't set value on its own. Our Rolex serial number guide explains what the serial can and can't tell you.
Rolex References We Purchase
Modern, pre-owned, and vintage. Steel, two-tone, gold, and platinum. Sports, dress, and limited references. The references below are examples, not a limit.
How Today's Rolex Market Shapes Your Offer
There is not one Rolex market. Secondary prices for many references peaked in early 2022 and have repriced unevenly since. A watch can trade above or below its retail list price depending on the reference, configuration, and condition. That is why we price your exact reference against current data instead of a model-wide average. WatchCharts market context.
Liquidity varies by family
Steel sports references have the deepest, fastest-moving buyer pool, so offers land closest to observable market levels. Precious-metal and dress references take longer to resell, and the offer reflects that holding time.
New references move old ones
When Rolex introduces or discontinues a reference, demand for the previous generation can shift in either direction. We price against how your generation is trading now.
Retail list prices set an anchor
Rolex adjusts its retail list prices over time. Where a reference sits relative to its current list price shapes how buyers on the secondary market value it.
Vintage follows its own rules
Vintage Rolex pricing leans on auction results and originality more than on current retail. A strong untouched example can move independently of the modern market.
A Listed Price Is Not an Offer
The prices you see on marketplace listings are what sellers are asking, not what watches sell for, and dealer listings include margin, warranty, and the time it takes to find a buyer.
A range built from where comparable examples of your reference are listed and selling. Useful context, but nobody has committed to pay it.
The amount we agree to pay for your specific Rolex after inspection and authentication, accounting for its reference, condition, originality, and the cost of holding and reselling it. You decide whether to accept the final offer.
Ask us and we'll explain how your offer relates to the current market for your reference. If you're curious about how a broader valuation works across brands, see market value vs. an offer.
Where to Sell a Rolex: Your Realistic Options
Rolex owners can compare several selling routes, including a direct buyer and an authorized dealer trade-in. Here is how the main options differ so you can choose the route that fits your goals.
Direct Rolex buyer
A specialist buys your Rolex outright for a firm price. You get certainty and speed, with no listing period and no commission, in exchange for a number below what a retail buyer pays a dealer. This is how Le Watch Buyers works.
Authorized dealer trade-in
Some authorized dealers accept a Rolex as a trade-in toward another watch from their store, and policies vary by dealer. It suits owners who want credit toward a new purchase rather than a payment. Our guide to the Rolex Certified Pre-Owned program explains how dealer trade-ins fit in.
Consignment or private sale
Listing with a consignor or selling to another individual can get closer to retail on popular references, but only after fees, time, and the work of vetting buyers and verifying payment.
Auction
For important vintage references or watches with documented provenance, competitive bidding can lift the price. Expect months from consignment to payment, a seller's commission, and the chance the watch doesn't meet its reserve.

How a Rolex Sale Stays Secure
Sending a Rolex to a buyer you found online should come with clear answers. Here is how every transaction is structured, whether you ship or meet us in New York.
Prepaid, Insured FedEx Overnight
Once you accept an offer, we send a prepaid, tracked, insured FedEx overnight label at no cost to you. Use an unmarked outer box with padding, never write "Rolex" on the package, and photograph the watch before sealing.
Meet Us in New York
Sellers in the New York metro area can arrange an in-person appointment instead of shipping. You keep your Rolex until you're satisfied with the offer.
Inspected Before Payment
Every Rolex is inspected and authenticated on arrival: reference and serial against papers, movement, dial and hand originality, and case and bracelet condition.
Requote or Return
If your Rolex arrives materially different from its description — a service dial, replaced hands, undisclosed damage — we explain what we found and requote. If you decline, contact us to arrange an insured, tracked return. Confirm any return-shipping costs before sending your watch.
Bank Wire, Same Day
Once your Rolex has been inspected and authenticated and you've accepted the final offer, we send payment by bank wire the same day. When the funds appear depends on your bank's processing. Bank wire is currently our only payment method.
Your Details Stay Private
We do not sell your information or list or advertise your Rolex while evaluating it. Trusted service providers may process your details as described in our privacy policy. You may request deletion of your submission, subject to necessary service and legal retention requirements.
