Luxury Watch Buyer in New York City
Le Watch Buyers is a New York–based luxury watch buyer. We buy eligible Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and other luxury watches outright from private owners, collectors and estates. We don't currently retail watches, and we aren't a consignment service, a marketplace or an auction house.
Submissions are evaluated by Xenon, Lead Appraiser at Le Watch Buyers, and our appraisal team. New York sellers can meet by appointment; sellers anywhere else in the U.S. ship by prepaid, insured FedEx.

Where can I sell my luxury watch in NYC?
New York sellers have five common routes: a direct buyer, a consignment dealer, an auction house, a private sale, or a jeweler or pawn shop. A direct buyer like Le Watch Buyers purchases the watch itself, so there's no listing period and no seller's commission.
To start, send photos and details through our offer form. We usually respond with an initial offer the same day. If you wish to proceed, we arrange an appointment in New York or send a prepaid, insured FedEx label. The final offer follows inspection and authentication.

How We Evaluate a Luxury Watch
Our evaluation considers seven connected factors. Their importance varies by reference, age and condition.
| Factor | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Reference and configuration | The exact reference, generation, case size, metal, dial and bracelet. These establish the relevant comparison group. |
| Authenticity and originality | Movement, dial, hands, bezel and bracelet checked against the reference, including replaced or aftermarket parts. |
| Condition | Case geometry and polishing, crystal, bracelet stretch and clasp wear, and whether the watch runs as it should. |
| Box and papers | Whether the warranty card or certificate matches the watch, plus the box, booklets and tags. |
| Service history | Manufacturer or qualified watchmaker service records and documentation of replaced parts. |
| Market demand | Current demand for that specific reference and configuration, not just the brand. |
| Comparable transactions | Relevant completed sales and auction results, with asking prices from marketplaces such as Chrono24 and market analytics such as WatchCharts used as additional context. |
A serial number helps identify a watch and, for some brands and eras, estimate its age. It doesn't set value on its own. An estimated market value isn't an offer: dealer asking prices can include margin and warranty, while our final offer is a firm amount for your specific watch after inspection and authentication.
Ready for a number? Send the reference if you know it, plus a few clear photos. We'll explain the factors behind the offer.

Every sale starts the same way: you submit details and receive an initial offer. What changes is how the watch reaches us.
In New York, by appointment
- Meetings are arranged in advance, after you submit your watch details.
- We discuss the initial offer and appointment arrangements before you travel.
- The watch must be inspected and authenticated before the final offer is confirmed.
- Once you accept the final offer, payment goes out by bank wire.
Anywhere in the U.S., by FedEx
- We send a prepaid, tracked, insured FedEx overnight label and packing instructions.
- The watch is inspected and authenticated on arrival.
- If it differs from its description, we explain why and requote. Decline and it comes back insured.
- Once you accept the final offer, payment goes out by bank wire.
- Submit your watch. Photos, the reference if you know it, condition, and what's included.
- Get an initial offer. We usually respond the same day.
- Arrange delivery. A New York appointment or a prepaid FedEx label. Do not ship before receiving our instructions.
- Inspection and final offer. We authenticate the watch and check it against its description. You decide whether to accept the final offer.
- Payment. We send your bank wire the same day you accept the final offer. When funds appear depends on your bank.
Why Sell to a Direct Watch Buyer?
New York offers several ways to sell a watch. The right route depends on your watch, timing and willingness to handle the sale yourself. Fees and terms vary by provider.
Auction can suit rare, important or provenance-rich pieces, where competitive bidding may improve the result. Allow time for cataloguing, sale and settlement; ask about seller fees, reserves and unsold-lot terms.
Consignment can achieve a price closer to retail on some references, but you wait for a buyer and pay the agreed commission or fees.
A private sale may produce a higher net result, but this is not guaranteed. It requires vetting buyers, verifying payment and managing a secure handover, with platform fees where applicable.
A direct buyer offers a purchase without waiting for a third-party buyer. We provide an initial offer before shipping or an appointment, then confirm the final amount after inspection and authentication. No seller's commission is deducted from the final offer you accept. Our full comparison of where to sell a luxury watch covers timing and costs for each route.

Selling a Watch in New York: FAQs
Where can I sell my Rolex in NYC?
You can sell a Rolex in New York to a direct buyer, through consignment or auction, or privately. Le Watch Buyers buys eligible Rolex watches outright: send photos and details, receive an initial offer, then meet by appointment in New York or ship by prepaid, insured FedEx. The final offer follows inspection and authentication. Our Rolex buying page covers how we price each reference.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, for an in-person sale. New York meetings are arranged in advance after you submit your watch details and discuss an initial offer. Selling by FedEx doesn't need an in-person appointment, but wait for our shipping instructions and label.
Can I sell a watch without its original box?
Yes. Missing box or papers do not automatically disqualify a watch, although they can affect the offer. The impact varies by reference and what is missing. Tell us what you have; eligibility and authentication are assessed individually.
How are luxury watch offers determined?
We consider the reference and configuration, authenticity and originality, condition, box and papers, service history, current demand, and comparable market evidence. An initial offer is subject to inspection and authentication. The final offer is the amount we will pay if you accept, not an estimate of retail market value.
How do I receive payment?
By bank wire, our only payment method. Once the watch is inspected and authenticated and you accept the final offer, we send the wire the same day. When the funds appear depends on your bank's processing.
Can I sell from outside New York?
Yes. We buy from sellers in all 50 states. We send a prepaid, tracked, insured FedEx overnight label, inspect the watch on arrival, and pay by bank wire after you accept the final offer. We don't buy from outside the United States.
Do you purchase vintage watches?
Yes, selected vintage and discontinued references. Originality, condition, rarity and provenance all matter. An original dial and period-correct parts can be important to collectors. Ask us before polishing, restoring or servicing a watch solely to prepare it for sale.
